About the journal
Games have a process worth reading.
Jeximoraku is an independent Australian editorial project for people who make, study and thoughtfully play games.
Our purpose
A quieter place for sharper observations.
We publish clear, useful essays about the work beneath games: tool choices, creative practices, small discoveries and games that ask for a closer look.
We do not use scorecards or inflate a passing reaction into a verdict. We describe what a work is doing, who it may speak to and why its decisions matter.
We name the detail that carries the observation.
We meet unfinished work with attention, not certainty.
We write so an idea can travel back to a desk or studio.
For makers
Show us the decision that changed the project.
We are especially interested in practical production insights, experiments, post-mortems and careful questions from Australia’s game-making community.
